At REIN, things are far from peaceful. Rescue is emotionally and physically draining, sometimes it can seem like we aren't moving forwards or backwards instead we are stuck in a vicious cycle that we cannot find our way out of. Some of us may ask, "Why do I do this to myself?" some of us may wonder how much more we can take before we completely break.
Sometimes we feel like we have failed a specific horse. Sometimes, stress, fatigue and emotions blind us to the amazing work we have done, and the amazing work we are still doing.
Documenting a horses progress is not only for the REIN files, but it is a reminder, that we can go a little longer, we can fight a little harder, and we can love more than we thought possible, because the horses we rescue and rehabilitate are worth it - all horses are.
These before and after transformations are not just a happy and healthy ending for the horse, these horses remind us of what we are capable of, what we can achieve. They remind us to push through it all, to never give up, to have hope, to have courage and to be brave.
Each and every single one of these horses taught us these abilities, through their own hope, courage, bravery and their desire to live.
Sometimes we wonder who is rescuing who.
Not every transformation is posted here at once, they will change regularly
